Nitrate nodes are found in Forest, Burnt Forest, Wasteland and Desert biomes. Another source of Nitrate Powder is Stalactites and Stalagmites in underground Caves, which must be mined as well. Nitrate Powder can be found when looting various containers, mining Boulders, and Body Bags. Nitrate Powder is a resource that can be acquired by mining Potassium Nitrate in both underground and above ground deposits. New Burnt POI's were introduced to the RWG world, so now things blend together better."Hey Captain Caveman! Nitrate can be used to make gunpowder and cave stalagmites are rich in it." On a Random Gen map, there aren't usually cities in these Biomes, but it is possible. This can be found by following the Apache St. Even though navezgane is a preset map resources spawn randomly. Sometimes you have to dig for the ores and sometimes you don't. There's also a small village (on the Navezgane Map) in the middle of the Biome with destroyed houses. All the caves in navezgane have variants of munitions crate, campfire, body, wood logs, cement mixer and possibly visible ores. Most of the buildings in this Biome are partially destroyed and a player can find mostly burnt and destroyed Houses with normal loot inside them. Clothes such as Cowboy Hats and Bandanas also have a cooling effect. To stay cool, make sure you are adequately hydrated. Birds Nests are a good source of Eggs and Feathers. Ember Piles, Small Stones and Birds Nests litter the ground and are easy to spot due to the vast reaches of scorched earth. Alpha 13's temperature system can lead to the player overheating quickly. The environment is very hot, particularly in the afternoon sun, although not as hot as the Desert. Or momentarily hopping over to a different biome to collect Plant Fibers. The environment, when it rains, can quickly lower the players body heat. In Navezgane, the Burnt Forest separates the northern region, which is easier to live in, from the southern region, which contains the dangerous Wasteland and Desert biomes, making it easier to tell the transition to the dangerous areas of Navezgane and back. Just be sure to craft/obtain and wear cooling clothes if you are settling here. There is very little wildlife here and very few buildings, making this a very poor spawn point.ĭespite being a mostly poor spawn point and despite it's appearance, it is not actually an overly dangerous biome what few animals that spawn here are easy to hunt due to the open spaces, and surprisingly few zombies actually spawn here, the burn victims being the only one most of the time, and they are easy to both spot at a distance and hear before they surprise the player with their fiery crackling sounds, and trees, in spite of being burnt and not dropping seeds, are still plentiful within the Burnt Forest it would take a long time to deplete the wood for this to become a problem, by this time the player will likely have planted trees from other biomes if they like living here. Destroy these ember piles yields Wood and Coal for crafting and as a fuel source. However, it has many new Points of Interest as of Alpha 13, improving its exploration value.Įmbers burn on the ground and will catch you on fire if you walk over them. This Biome is now nothing but destroyed buildings and burnt trees. However, when the third world war started and the virus started to spread among humanity, everything went down and a wildfire destroyed this beautiful forest, along with everyone inside it resulting in Burn Victim Zombies. It had plenty of wildlife and all the trees had beautiful green leaves. Once, the Burnt Forest was like all the other Forests. The Burnt Forest is also known as the "Dead Forest".
